Downbound

Downbound is a series of redacted poems derived from Bruce Springsteen song lyrics. I copied and pasted the lyrics into a text edit program and set the background color to black. I set the text color to black, so the text becomes invisible. With the cursor I then marked the words I like, or need, or searched for, and set their color to white. What I looked for, besides words and phrases that suit my taste, is directions (up, down, left, right,...) and expressions related to what I call „The American Dream Economy“. I like to think that these poems represent a „Springsteen Meaningspace“, and I am a „Large Language Model“ training on the corpus of Bruce Springsteens lyrics. Read from left to right and top down, but also in other ways.
